Glass Painting Workshop by Seduced by Art

Seduced By Art are a collective of artists who work together to help other artists be seen through joint & individual exhibitions. We are passionate about enabling others to have equal opportunities despite societal barriers. We also strive to make art and being creative more accessible to others through events and workshops run by our team of artists and specialists. Our aim is to create safe spaces for people to talk, connect, build on and explore their creative development at whatever level you feel you may be.

For this event, you will be taken through the calming process of building up a layered image in reverse on a clear piece of glass using acrylic pen and acrylic paint, with a picture of your choice as a reference. This process requires you to allow yourself to take your time, to focus and create something for yourself, be at ease learning new skills, and by the end, leaving with a sense of satisfaction and a work of art!

The artists will guide you through the steps as you progress. You will be able to work at a pace that suits you over the two hours as we will be on hand to advise throughout the workshop.

All materials will be provided – pens, paint, brushes, picture frame and choice of images to work from. At the end of the session you may take away the picture you have created in its frame plus some new found skills!

You are welcome to bring along an image that brings you good, happy, calm feelings, even better if it is printed in reverse/mirrored as we will work back to front. A5 is the advised size.

*in the interests of health and safety, glass in the picture frames may be substituted with acrylic which has a similar effect, as it is a safer option in a public space 🙂
