We are so pleased to have Adalberto Lonardi in the studio leading our Festive community studio as the signature artist!
Adalberto works at the intersection of art and design with a focus on public engagement and community empowerment, partnering with small and large organisations. His work looks to transform people’s collective voices into modern art, interweaving culture with education for all ages and abilities. Born in Italy, he trained as a designer at the Benetton Group’s Fabrica communication research centre under the guidance of designer , and signature artist at art’otel London Battersea, Jaime Hayon. Later after earning a master’s degree in interior design at the Royal College of Art, he has set up Adalberto Lonardi Studios with recent projects including collaborations with Foster + Partners, Wimbledon Foundation, the Venice Biennale, Southwark Cathedral and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. He lectures at the Royal College of Art and is the chief creative officer at the London-based community organisation, Katherine Low Settlement.
He will be leading the ‘Follow The Star’ festive Mural In his unique and colourful style, creating a giant mural depicting a modern take on a nativity scene, set in the heart of Battersea and Nine Elms. Battersea residents and visitors can sign up for exclusive two-hour slots on 1st, 2nd, 7th and 8th December to help Adalberto paint this unique artwork.
